Peacocks Amongst the Ruins is a well conceived catalogue accompanying an unusual and somewhat eclectic exhibition that focuses on the prevalence of plant and animal motifs in interior design. Co-curated by the design company Timorous Beasties, the show brought together historic material in the form of textiles and wallpaper dating back to the 18th century along with cutting edge contemporary designs. Wrapped in a cover that doubles as a fold-out poster and accompanied by writings and interviews, the publication contains designs from the likes of Hella Jongerius, Jurgen Bey, Timorous Beasties and Marcel Wanders.
