The reference to the process of building and the parallels to architecture is in keeping with Laras Muller's conviction that a book design emerges from an understanding of its content. Like a building, it is designed to last and bear witness to its era.
The author describes through words and images the principles of his activity and takes stock of some twenty-five years working as one of the worlds leading, award winning and highly respected design publishers.
