The rising stars of European design are the French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Born in Brittany in 1972 and 1975 respectively, the brothers live and work in the Saint-Denis suburb of Paris. Their work is truly modern because of the ingenuity with which they reinterpret everyday objects to meet the needs of their own generation of mobile, computer-savvy consumers by creating compact, portable and versatile objects, like this La Valise box file.
