Dombo Children's Mug

Designed by Richard Hutten, 2002

Named Domoor, after the Dutch word for 'a stupid person', this children’s mug was designed in 2002 by Richard Hutten to resemble a face, with handles on either side that resemble the ears.

Solid plastic tantrum-proof design.

After graduating from the Eindhoven Design Academy in 1991, Hutten opened his own studio. Two years later he joined the group of young Dutch designers whose work was exhibited by the Droog design group. Hutten has since applied the cartoonish style of the Domoor – or Dombo – mug to furniture and interiors as well as other products.
