Uten.silo
During the late 1960s, plastic was seen as a playful, practical material of the future. Among the most exciting plastic products of the period was the Uten.silo developed by the German designer Dorothee Becker. Then married to the lighting designer Ingo Maurer, Becker was a self-taught designer who had developed the Uten.silo when working in her husband’s studio. With its pockets, hooks and clips, it provides all-purpose storage in offices, kitchens and bathrooms.
