One of our series of 4 high quality print editions produced to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Design Museum in 2009, this digital print also coincides with the opening of the Neues Museum in Berlin and the Form Matters exhibition here in London - all designed by David Chipperfield Architects.
The Neues Museum in Berlin was designed and constructed between 1997 and 2009. This highly detailed elevation drawing includes photographic imagary indicating what may be found inside this magnificent cultural building.
Although David Chipperfield’s architectural practice is currently working on many residential, cultural, commercial and product design projects all around the world, he still found the time to generously allow the Design Museum to reproduce this stunning elevation for our print project.
The Neues Museum opened to the public on the 16th of October 2009, it’s completion a true feat of design and engineering that has taken 13 years to build.
“The Neues Museum” is a digital print on Somerset Satin White, 300gsm, 100cm long and 50cm tall.
Available from the Design Museum Shop in a hand-numbered edition of 100 only.
All proceeds from sale of this item go directly towards the Design Museum exhibitions and education programme.
