MIKROhouse is in the collection of MIKRO fold-up sculptures developed by the young British product designer Sam Buxton. He began the series by creating a replica of himself working at his computer as a business card after he left the Royal College of Art.
When the card was exhibited at the Design Museum in summer 2001, it was spotted by Worldwide, who put it into production. It has remained a bestselling prodect ever since.
