Patricia Urquiola, born in Oviedo, Spain in 1961, lives and works in Milan at her own product design, architecture, installation and concept design studio she established in 2001. Urquiola has played a major role on the international design stage for many years, receiving numerous awards and international acclaim. Her new range of ceramics, the Landscape range, produced in collaboration with Rosenthal, is a departure from her previous design work, however the precise detail, exacting quality and beauty of the range is reflective of her overall design work.
The entire range, including a detailed look at Urquiola’s ceramic design and manufacturing process, is now being exhibited at the Design Museum until January 2009.
