Tiger Seen On Shaftesbury Avenue - Grand Tour
In June 2007, full-size reproductions of some of the National Gallery's best loved paintings appeared overnight on the streets of London around Soho and Covent Garden.
Tucked away in alleyways, pub walls and side streets, this street exhibition invited people to take a Grand Tour of their own and observe some of the most famous masterpieces in the world.
Now we welcome a new publication, showing the artwork, the process and some of the responses to the project which had a great impact upon the daily lives of Londoners and tourists alike.
