Dish Doctor

The comical name and form of this Dish Doctor dish drainer are typical of Marc Newson's work. Behind the playful façade of his designs, lies a conceptual rigour and love of technical experimentation. Born in Sydney in 1963, Newson studied jewellery and sculpture there, before working in Tokyo, Paris and London. Now based in Paris, he has designed everything from a Ford car and Qantas airline seats to the Design Museum toilets.
