James the Doorman
£15.00
To prop open the door of their design studio, the industrial design graduates Daniel Black and Martin Blum made a wooden silhouette of a man holding open the door with his out-stretched hands. After graduating from the University of Northumbria in 1998 they had set up in business as product designers. So many visitors to the studio commented on the doorstop that in 2002 Black and Blum decided to develop a rubber version and to put it into production. They christened the doorstop 'James the Doorman'.
