Product details

  • May 8, 1968, the School of Fine Arts in Paris is on strike. On the 14th, a few students spontaneously meet in the lithography workshop and, taking advantage of the direct action, they create the first poster
  • This is the beginning of the popular workshop that will produce, between May 14 and June 27, the dates of occupation of the school of fine arts, more than 250 different posters
  • Designed for the benefit of striking workers and, most often carried out with their active collaboration, these posters were one of the concrete manifestations, displayed in the eyes of all on the walls of Paris, of the emerging solidarity between workers and students
  • This volume contains 87 posters (selected from those that can be reproduced), and collective texts in which the popular workshop introduces itself and defines its goals and intentions. There are also two notes on the functioning of a popular workshop
  • Published in 1968, these are original booklets and very rare to come by
  • A very limited number available
