The G-Plan Revolution
- This publication will be a historical account of the development of furniture in the fifties and particularly the sixties. However, the emphasis will be on an interesting and entertaining read for the popular market, rather than an academic textbook. The publication will also be a good guide for the collector
- The G-Plan Revolution is a colourful, hardback, packed with period advertisements. It will have instant appeal to anyone who remembers G-Plan in its heyday, or those who have an interest in collecting furniture from the sixties or a nostalgia for the era
The G-Plan Revolution is one of the best interior design/furniture books we offer at the Design Museum shop, in my opinion. Firstly, the look and design of the book alone is very aesthetically pleasing and exciting. The content is of great quality, as well. It perfectly depicts the interiors and furniture of the time. The book is full of great references, has a funky layout, and also includes inserts from vintage magazines and reproduced G-plan brochures, which are interesting to look through. I think this would be a great gift to someone who is interested in interiors or just has a thing for anything vintage.
