The Design Museum Shop's mission: celebrate good and intelligent design.
Over two decades, the Shop has evolved from a small outlet selling postcards and a handful of products into a destination store for design conscious visitors from all over the world. As you will see from our site, we sell a broad and inspired range of the latest design products and books.
All profits from the Shop go directly into the Design Museum exhibitions programme, which means that every purchase you make contributes directly to dynamic shows, education and access to design for everybody.

On Design
On Products
The Design Museum Shop carries products designed and created by the world’s most well-known and well regarded designers, but also places particular emphasis on supporting and presenting new, young and emerging talent alongside the more classic pieces on display.
You will always find products relating to exhibitions, but also a range of items for your home, office and day-to-day living.
We aim to only sell products that improve quality of life, both practically and aesthetically. At the Design Museum Shop you can explore new ideas, discover design and hopefully find some great, useful and fun gifts without subjecting yourself to those unpleasant and uniform high street stores.
On Books
The books selected for the Design Museum Shop celebrate and explore all areas of design. Focussing on the latest new titles on advertising, architecture, branding, fashion, graphics, illustration, motion graphics, products, furniture, design theory and web design.
Practical academic design texts are displayed alongside more playful and experimental publications with plenty of great independant publications for children, students and professionals.
We regard the books in our range as design objects in their own right and as exemplars of both content and form. We perhaps cherish them a little too much but we are not too reluctant to see them leave, hoping they bring as much pleasure to you as they do us.
Please note that the range shown online is a small selection of the broader range of titles we have available instore.
On the Environment
The irony of encouraging environmental awareness by selling eco-friendly products while receiving and posting out many boxes of stock around the world everyday is not lost on us. That is why we endeavour to be as conscious and responsive to environmental concerns as possible.
All of the shop’s excess packaging and waste is recycled or re-purposed, our shop bags are made from 100% recycled materials and all products we produce ourselves such as T-shirts, posters and stationery are from sustainable sources and manufactured in the UK. As we import items from all over the world, we try our utmost to ensure all of our suppliers have eco-friendly business practices and we minimise air-freighted deliveries as much as possible.
We fully understand that there is always more we can do and are constantly assessing how to improve our services while reducing our own environmental impact. We have an expanding range of eco products available; please take a look and help us save the world.
