This Fair Trade Owl Rug designed by Chris Haughton is based on the owl from his book A Bit Lost. The rug was made by KTS a fair trade group in Kathmandu. The group supports a school of 250 as well as an orphanage of 19. The workers are taught literacy and employable skills. This rug was hand spun from raw wool, dyed, and hand knotted and hand finished by our fair trade group. This is the first rug made by NODE. NODE aims to connect a network of designers to fair trade craftspeople to make make beautiful rugs and help improve the lives of the craftspeople who make them.
