- This archive print is from the Design Museum's first ever exhibition in its initial iteration as the Boilerhouse Project which ran from 1981 to 1986.
- Art and Industry: A Century of Design in the Products We Use was a revolutionary exhibition at the time in that it made the case for the serious study of industrial design.
- The Boilerhouse Project was the first initiative funded by the Conran Foundation to increase the discussion and prominence of contemporary design.
